Redefining Your Worth and Smashing Goals

Breakthrough: your Identity defines how you define & acHIEVE your goals

Hey, Reader!

I’ve had another breakthrough and it’s serious. Are you ready?

We make a goal, we make a plan, we’re excited, we’re motivated, and then within days (sometimes moments), we fail. Why?

Because it’s not about the action—it’s about how we identify ourselves.

When we focus solely on modifying our behavior, the end goal is hard.

Almost impossible. And when I say impossible, I'm like the CEO of #failedagain.

The truth is, it’s not about changing our behavior, it’s about changing our internal scripts—the things we tell ourselves, the self-talk we’ve been repeating (out loud or silently) for years.

So, how do we combat it? With God’s truth. Yes, y'all!! It's easier than you realize!

We need to consistently (and I mean all day) remind ourselves of WHO we are in Him and develop a mindset rooted in His Word to change our personal narratives.

Here’s your truth for this week:

💡 YOU are a conqueror through Christ Jesus.

💡 YOU are victorious because His Spirit lives within you.

💡 YOU are an heir of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

💡 YOU have access to power and peace far greater than you can imagine.

💡 YOU are beautifully and wonderfully made—created with a purpose only YOU can fulfill.

If you don’t believe this yet, that’s OK. I’ve been there. But I encourage you to recite these declarations daily.

Remember, there’s REAL spiritual warfare happening behind the scenes—competing for your mind, your heart, your life, and your family (Ephesians 6:12)

Don’t ever underestimate the power of prayer. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just personal. God hears you. God knows you. Even if it seems He's silent, His presence is ALWAYS present. (Psalm 139:7-12)

Yes, I love to set goals, plan, organize, exercise, eat healthy, and have my “Jesus Time.” But there are still moments when the lie floods in: I’m not good enough. I’m not capable. I’m not worthy. This is too hard. I can do this tomorrow, I'm too tired. I don't have the strength.

Lies. Lies. Lies.

God has a distinct plan and purpose for you. And when I say distinct, I mean so unique that NO ONE ELSE can accomplish it for His Kingdom but YOU. And the greatest part of it? You don't have to go at it alone. His strength is promised and sufficient through every weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:9)

So, go on and boast! Boast about the power of Christ that lives in you as a born again and follower of Christ Jesus!

I pray with all of my heart that you not only believe this with excitement, but also ask Him to give you the strength to discover it—or fulfill it. Because through Him, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

So, let’s redefine our identities, remember who we are in Christ, and SMASH the goals He’s pressing on our hearts.

If He placed that goal in your heart, He WILL give you the strength, focus, resources, wisdom, and more to achieve it

Scripture of the Week

Romans 8:37 – “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

Tip of the Week

When negative self-talk creeps in, pause and replace it with a scripture-based declaration. Write it down, say it out loud, and claim God’s truth over your life.

Father, thank You for reminding me that my true identity is found in You. Silence the lies of the enemy and strengthen my hearts with Your Word. Lord, when doubts creep in, let me lean on Your truth and walk boldly in the purpose You’ve designed for me. Help me to trust Your timing, rest in Your promises, and pursue the goals You’ve placed on, my heart with courage and faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
